SOTO Myoko is conveniently located a 2-minute drive or a 12-15 minute walk from Akakura Onsen Ski Resort, close to the main street of restaurants and bars.

• SOTO Lodge: Accommodates 14 guests, with some rooms featuring an extra sofa bed.  Breakfast is included. Helpful staff (maximum 4) will be living on-site to support housekeeping, breakfast, and bar services.

• SOTO House: Self-catered accommodation with capacity of up to 10 guests, without additional bedding options. Floor plans are accessible on our website on each property’s page. Breakfast is not included.

A minimum of 4 nights is required for all stays.

Our rates are fixed and we are unable to offer discounts for extended stays or smaller group bookings.

Having a car is crucial. 

We advise renting a 4WD vehicle with snow tires due to the lack of public transport to essential services like the nearest supermarket, which is an 11-minute drive away. There are 2-3 taxis in town that can become hard to book.

Please do not come with 2WD or with all season tires. 

   - Toyota at Joetsu Myoko Station: Highly recommended to rent a Hi-ace (9-seater) with 4WD and snow tires. You can make reservations up to three months in advance, and their English-speaking call center is available for earlier bookings.

   - KIBEJE Rentals: Offers the convenience of picking up and dropping off vehicles at different locations, which is ideal if traveling between Hakuba and Myoko.

Cars must be 4WD equipped with snow tires.

   The option to book individual rooms at the lodge will become available in mid-October.

Should you encounter any difficulties with payments on our website, please reach out to us via email. Certain credit cards may impose limits on large international transactions, and we can assist by issuing a payment link for the transaction in smaller increments.

While SOTO Myoko does not provide dinner services, guests can enjoy bar snacks. We help with dinner reservations and offer a list of nearby restaurants to our guests in late December. Booking early is recommended to secure a spot.

Why late December? Before the festive season, we visit each restaurant to confirm their reservation systems and operational hours. Some restaurants only open their doors starting Christmas Day.

 A full payment is required upfront as a deposit. Cancellations by September 30th will receive a 70% refund. Bookings made after this date are non-refundable.

Booking both properties is possible, accommodating up to 24 guests. Note: Breakfast service is not included for House guests unless both the Lodge and House are booked together. Additional charges apply for breakfast service; please inquire via email.

  The ski resorts typically aim to open by December 18th each year. However, openings may be subject to delays due to weather conditions. We recommend planning visits after Christmas for the best experience.

We do not provide baby cots or babysitting services. Guests should bring their cots. However, some ski schools in the area do offer babysitting.
